Text Donation Rate Card

Mobile phone users who text a keyword to 84424 to make a donation of £3 to the charity promoting the keyword will receive a message back from 80199.
The short code 84424 is only used by charities and not-for-profit organisations, but it is not a VAT free number unlike say our 70300 number. It is used when for a legal reason the charity must charge VAT or when the charity wants to test text giving before investing in a VAT free charity short code like 70300.
The service will cost the donor £3 worth of airtime plus the cost of one text at their standard network tariff - usually less than 10p and often free.
The £3 Donation includes VAT and network deductions. The amount of the deduction varies according the donor's network.
On all networks except Virgin Mobile the charity will recieve                        £2-24 inc VAT

If your phone is on Virgin Mobile the charity will receive                               £1.41 inc VAT

All figures correct as at 1st May 2010. Any improvements will be automatically passsed onto the charity.
